He's a fraud. My laptop went from hard to repair to completely unrepairable. All he had to say was a lot of lies, and increased the repair price each time I talked to him. He made no effort to try and contact me after I dropped it off. Acted incredibly unprofessionally when I dropped it off too. He blamed me for the mistake he made which broke my laptop, which is ridiculous as not only was it ok after I opened it up, but it also was when I had it sent back to the manufacturer and shipped back. Avoid this place at all costs.
EDIT: To clarify, the laptop would have a black screen on boot and would heat up and wouldn't do anything. When I got it back it wouldn't even turn on. The "10 hours" he claims is not true, as not only would the things that he did take an hour for someone inexperienced, the liquid metal to spread like that would only happen due to the negligence of the person opening it.
EDIT: Later found out my 1tb drive turned into 256gb and has DELL files (it was an ASUS). So he stole my storage too.

Excellent service, walking in with a component failure, the problem was diagnosed, replacement ordered and new parts fitted within 48 hours! Would highly recommend!

Very friendly and professional customer service. Owner was very knowledgeable. Repaired my laptop, explained everything clearly, and even looked into small issues that wasn't in the initial problem without any charge. Highly recommended.

I got my PC repaired here as well as cable management sorted out. 10 out of 10!
I had to get a faulty MSI motherboard replaced along with a reinstall of existing components; ordered the new Gigabyte motherboard instore and I'm very pleased and impressed.
My previous BIOS to boot times hung around 50 seconds, now with the new motherboard and setup, it's around 20 seconds, which is a big improvement and ontop of that, my PC now works with no fuss or muss.
Great service and great communication too; there were some slight delays but I was kept up to date with an accurate ETA on when to expect the services for my PC to be done.
All in all, I highly recommend PC Active if you live in the local area if you need your PC servicing or such, as the pricing is pretty fair and the staff I met, this being Chris who handled the service for my rig, is not only highly knowledgeable, but very friendly and polite!

Never seen a more determined and professional team to build my new gaming PC. The attention to detail and passion clearly shows from the exceptionally clean build and cable tidy management. My PC looks and runs amazingly, they did have a lot of fun putting it together too 10/10

Diagnosed and replaced faulty hard drive for a very reasonable price, kept me informed of potential hardware costs and gave advice on how to keep price down Vs longevity/part quality. Friendly staff, good quick service, and even gave the old rig a quick hoover - which was really nice!
Would definitely recommend and am already packing up my partner's tower for a check-up with them.
Very minor comment for improvement would be that they could possibly send a few more update emails to keep customers advised of order status/timelines etc... not a criticism as they were super helpful when contacted, but might be a way of saving on incoming calls about existing orders/parts/etc...

Needed a repair to a dead laptop so dropped in with it. After discussion Stuart suggested he go through a full diagnostic (with a small charge) which I was happy to go ahead with. The motherboard was dead which was not a surprise due to age. He also took photos of where it was damaged. He suggested sourcing a replacement from certified reseller (it's about 8 years old now!). We agreed a good price which included all the work doing and discounting against the diagnostic. Stuart kept me informed throughout the whole process and was a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended.

Had an urgent repair (turned out the hard drive needed to be replaced) - I called up first thing on Saturday morning, and Stuart had it ready for me to collect by the end of the day. Really helpful, really friendly, explained everything clearly. I won't be going anywhere else in the future!
